Watch Description

Need some help from the experts.  One of my father's watches i inherited.  The best I can tell is that this is a 1966 calendar c (after looking at tons of pictures online) .  however, it could be a 218d or maybe even a 214. I have not opened the back so I don't have all of the relevant info.

Anyone have any knowledge to impart loll. Would appreciate it!

Great heirloom watch, welcome and thanks for sharing it with us. First question is, is this watch marked as solid gold? If so, there are 2 choices as seen in the 1963 - 1967 Accutron Linebook.

Gilt (gold colored dial) and lug shape are determining factors, as well as the horizontal line. tuning fork logo and Bulova signature placement on the dial.

If the watch is 14K, it's a

ACCUTRON Calendar "E"

If it is 18K, it's a

ACCUTRON Calendar "K"

The linebook entries for both use the same photo. If it's gold plated, I can't find a match.

Awaiting clarification :o)

I thought I posted a picture of the back but I guess it didn't show up. And now I'm not sure how to do that. However it is 14K solid gold.  So I guess that makes it a calendar E .

Thanks for the info. I knew they were different calendar versions but I couldn't find anything online. Then I found the experts!

Your watch is as close a match to my recently acquired Accutron that I have been able to find. .I have attached a couple pictures to get some help from the experts in advice on how to determine the model/movement/serial/etc. numbers.  My understanding is that the "M6" indicates a manufacture year of 1966.  The 12'oclock icon looks slightly different than yours.  Mine looks more like a true circle and yours has more of a a teardrop shape.

It has been sitting in a jewelry cabinet for many decades.  Other than the "bubble" blemeshes on the face, it seems to be in pretty good condition.  I am guessing the band is original as well.  I wish I had the original case and/or documents, but I was not able to find those.

Any help from the experts will be appreciated.
