Watch Description

This is an example of the Yankee Clipper.  This was an awful and filthy looking watch but came out amazing after a deep clean and service.   The case is yellow gold plate with a stainless steel back. It has the scalloped edge which is hard to see in the photos.   Date code is M5.  The movement is a 17J 11ALAC also with a M5 date code.  Perfect dial with yellow gold applied hour markers.

M5 would put at 1965

In that year this model became the Yankee Clipper "G"

Oh that's a super nice dial. Even the hands look new. Do you have a before shot?

Unfortunately I did not take a pic.   You would not believe what it looked like.  Crystal was scratched and yellow so that you could barely see the dial and covered with human DNA or mud. New crystal, crown and stem.

I've done this many times before myself and regretted not taking a before shot. When a watch arrives I typically can't wait to strip it down and start cleaning, forgetting to take the 'ugly' shot.
