Not really. We have another example here added in 2017. We just never ID'd with the variant. Something I'll do now.

True, the other example we have in the database is from 1969, but is basically the same watch.

Turns out it is a first. The 1969 version was renamed to Miss Liberty "D".

Correct, identifying watches is an ongoing process fueled by exhaustive research. Some watches changed names from one year to the next and identification can change (by date) when new information is uncovered. That was the case with the watch dated 1969.
