There's some useful information!

The 'DATE KING' appears to have a smaller Diameter Case than the 'PRESIDENT' (not to mention 14K)

The 'PRESIDENT' is also shock resistant according to the ad, making this unknown a 'PRESIDENT' as the Caseback clearly states shock resistant. - unless the ad is wrong .

BUT this ad states the 'PRESIDENT' is 17Jewels, so obviously it is wrong information as the original ad posted states 30 Jewels.... unless My 17Jeweled 1965 'SEA KING' in the database is a 'PRESIDENT' - which I doubt.

 

** as an added note:

Country of origin for these advertisements could come into play as similar models could have possesed differing names in different Countries ?

eg: would there have been a Watch named a 'PRESIDENT' in Great Britain ??  - Great Britain is a Monarchy as opposed to a Democracy here in the U.S.

'DATE KING' would be a fitting name in Great Britain or Europe  for a watch known as a  'PRESIDENT' in the United States of America - same watch, different market, different model name.

Which would explain everything.

 Right some going through all this I would say this watch is a Date King mdel, mainly due to the dial details? Just a different model as it is stainless?

To slightly digress, the evidence is here and I don't think it has anything to do with what country the ad was placed.

Bulova obviously release a President version with 17 Jewels and one with 30 Jewels.

Maybe the 17J was 1964 and the all 'new' 30J followed either in late 64 or 65.

oh and back to the Date King, the same 'red' advert also shows the Date King 'J' version as also being 'shock-resistant' , which would imply that the 'H' model so 'shock-resistant' even though the ad left that detail out.

Yes absolutely, but did You catch the different Countries /different Model Name possibilities from the discussion?

Interesting debate as the 'PRESIDENT' is shown as a 23 J auto prior to the 1964/5 ad depicting a 30 J auto. 17 j Waterproof auto's were 'SEA KING' models here in the U.S.

Country of origin for the ads / watch comes into play here, there is no other logical explaination for different Watches to be Named the same.

IMO.
