Watch Description

Ok, here is another tough one that may end up being unknown...   Once again, I'm very happy with another find that is still keeping good time.  I've googlefoo'd for some time, looked at all the adverts here and can't find an exact match.  There is an exact match in the database here: http://www.mybulova.com/watches/1965-unknown-7282  with an "M5" stamp like mine.  The one on ETSY has a "M4" stamp that looks exactly like mine with the same 10CL movement.  The case back is the same as 66 Banker and Counselor.  The dial and hands look nearly identical to the 66 counselor.  Both of these models have the 10CL movement.  I've yet to see a match for the lugs though..  There have been some new additions to the advertisements for this timeframe and I scanned those too.  Maybe someone has seen one of these somewhere or there is a yet to be discovered advertisement with this thing in it..I don't know LOL.  However, I'm uploading to provide another example of this model.  I'm working on my presentation as I know it is lacking..LOL  I'm going to do a little research lighting etc like all the pros here seem to have perfected. :-).. Thanks for your time again folks!

Best Regards,

Rick

This is the one I saw online. Both also have a textured dial if you look really close.

Clearly, the fact that we do not have a name for the watch is not bad, we just have little information :o)

Those are some heafty looking lugs. I still do not see any matches in our ads. Unknown at this time.

Wondering if it was part if the mid to late 1960s President line.

Unknown for now.

Nice watch Rick, hard to imaging that we keep finding these watches that Bulova seemed never to have advertised. Bulova was one of the pioneer advertisers of the 20th century and yet there are all these watches they seem never to have shown.

Thanks all.. for some reason to me I feel it connects to the engineer line with the lines and semi rough gold etching.  The bulky lugs coupled with the design just feels to me to be a industrial look and feel yet a dress up look for the blue collar working man?  Maybe one day something will pop. Having seen three of these with the exact same features with “M” stamps for multiple years leads me to believe it had to be advertised somewhere. ...

Bulova may not have advertised all models in all places. There may have been models that didn't get advertised in the US for whatever reason. We know there are International models that have little or no North American sales. Their main market was the US, of course, but I often wonder what marketing was done elsewhere.

As an example, there were watch brands that sold in Canada that were not sold in the US. Even Rolex had models that were Canada only.

I think you are on the money Rob. Question though.. I noticed in all three examples of this watch the inside case back is basically blank void of the standard “Bulova fifth ave “ etc. could this be an indication it was made and possibly sold outside the states?
