I picked this unusual lug Bulova 23 Jewel watch today. It is an M3 but the movement is M1. It has short lugs on the top and a different lug on the bottom. It has a gold concentric circle dial. I thought maybe a Regatta but can't find a match.
I found a match for this as a President. I suspect it is a 1963 President. Mine is yellow gold with a yellow gold dial that has the appearance of a record album with concentric grooves. The Crown stem was rusted and the crown missing. It appears to be running, just need a neww two piece stem crown set and new crystal.
I believe this one to be the President 'OW', as seen here and in this offsite 1962 ad

I have been sitting on this one for a while. I finally thought I would take a stab at restoring it. I did not have a 10BZC stem but pulled out a 11AF and it fit. I had the right crown too so I gave it a service. A final crystal polish made the dial pop. I love the almost orange tone of the dial. Now that we have the line books I checked for this model and the only one I could find in the 1963 Linebook BAWD0151 page 64 of 72 was a 1963 President "T". I wonder if for 1963 this is not an OW since the dial color is different from the OW ad? There is also a President "G" and a "HW" with this case and dial style in earlier year line books . Best I can tell there is a silver, champagne and gold dial variant for this model now in the MyBulova Database. None of the line books indicate the color and are described equally. Just not sure we can ID these to a variant.
