Looks to me like an Engineer, but was IDed by the seller as an American Eagle. The Black Dial and the seconds sub-dial design are not representative of the Engineer examples posted here. I appreciate the input.

Definitely a 1963 Bulova Engineer. Looking for a variant match.

Agree, that is the 1963 Bulova Engineer. I'm willing to bet that the dial was refinished in black (which looks great)

1964 price guide shows two black dial versions. "F" and "L".

The white dial version of this watch if "G" (yellow) and "H" (white) shown in the below list. Not sure if it helps determine which is correct "F" or "L".

The "I" variant has a different case...so I'd probably lean more towards the "F"....but have no evidence to confirm.

This case came in either yellow 'G' or white 'H', but neither indicate a black dial.

The F and L from the pricelists showing black were different case styles.

Engineer, no variant

Ken, do we have ads showing the different case styles of the "F" and "L"?

A watch full of design, very 60s!  I always love a black dial.

Great dial on this one. I will agree,

1963 Bulova Engineer, no variant for now.
