If only that was the case with a Bulova watch it would make our life's so much easier :-)

It's a common misconception that a Bulova watch can be identified by its serial number alone. Once upon a time Bulova may have had records doing this but we have yet to see them and as stated a great part of their history was trashed back in the 1970s.

This is why we are here today trying to rebuild this history.

Why is it that it can't just be looked up by the serial number?

'Cause you can't easily look up a Bulova by serial number.

All info was lost by Bulova in the 1970's.

not all.

1958 'BARBARA' is the closest I can see. http://www.mybulova.com/sites/default/files/vintage_ads/Bulova_AD_1958_6...

'UNKNOWN' for now.

Thanks for the link. That is the first one I have seen that looks like mine. The design and everything is spot on. Different colors, but otherwise, identical design.

I missed that ad.

This is a slightly later watch so they may have updated the dial. Ad does state available in white gold.

Tentative Barbara.

Yes, my case is slightly different too. The case is square shaped. Still this is the first one I've seen that looks anything like mine.

Are you looking at the right watch in the advert? The Barbara is round the same as yours.

If you look at the 58, the case is completely round. Whereas mine is rounded on the sides but square at the top and bottom.
