This one was another of my "what the heck is that?" purchases. Interesting yellow gold plate highly detailed bezel with a stainless back. Interior case back and movement (with import code) both marked "M0". Pizza dial with gold markers and "Bulova" in gold raised letters on dial, as well as "Waterproof".
I approached this one with healthy skepticisim, with the idea it may be something other than a real Bulova. I researched it in pieces first - dial, case, movement. I don't find the case or face (with or without pizza lines) alone or combined anyplace. I also considered that the face might be refinished with the addition of the quadrant lines, no match.
Looking at the serial number and case markings, I also considered it might be an international model; but the movement has an import code.......Case back is stamped Bulova on the outside and "AM" in a diamond on the inside. I'm stumped.
Keeps perfect time and condition is a solid 8 out of 10. It's a really handsome watch. The overall quality says Bulova all the way.
Well, after digging, I find one with many similarities. This one is a 1961 30 Jewel we christened as International with different lugs and face indices. Close but no cigar, I'm beginning to think it's a good possibility this is also an International model.
