Watch Description

Movement has date code stamp (L9), unadjusted , 17 jewels, bxw. KREISLER  leather strap. Inside case back stamped "BULOVA, FIFTH AVENUE, NEW  YORK". Watch and band in beautiful shape and keeps accurate time. Being sent out for cleaning and oiling prior to forwarding to Santa Claus for delivery to Granddaughter

Looks like it might be one of the nurse watches. Red sweep sec hand makes me think military.

Certainly a nursers watch, but unknown for me at this time.

The web site WATCHOPHILIA shows  1954 and 1958 Clara Barton watches that are very similar to this watch and use the same movement.  They differ from this watch as follows:

1.  They have snap back cases versus this watches-screw back.

2.  The hour and minute hands are different.

3.  The watch band is  different.

The seller informs me he replaced the broken expansion band with the leather band shown.  The hands were the ones on the watch when he acquired it and does not know the early history of the watch.

I've seen those lugs on mens Automatics of around the same era. So cool! Not seen this ladies model before though

Unknown though those lugs are pretty distinct to so when we see it we should know.
