Watch Description

The case is distinctive, and it has a red seconds hand, but I couldn't find it in an ad. It must be a nurse's watch.

The case is dated L8, and the movement is dated L7.

Thanks for the ID. Mine is white gold, but everything I've seen so far indicates that it should be yellow, so there must have been a white variant?

OK, I did a deeper dig, it appears the Air Nurse had a name change in late 1958, or early 1959 was renamed "Red Cross". As the "Red Cross" it was available in yellow or white. Listing below from the 1958/1959 Linebook.

The dial in this photo is a bit washed out, but numbers are present at 12, 3, 6, and 9.

By date, it appears to be a 

1958 Red Cross"D"

and a first for the database!

I should note the Air Nurse and Red Cross have different lugs.   Curved vs right angle.
