Watch Description

Here's one we currently have only one other example of, and this is only the third example of this movement in the database. This is one tiny self winding movement with a red sweep second hand, lume dots and hands. Movement and case back interior both date stamped L8.

This is the first example of this box I have seen as well. It is identical to the same period Bulova 23 boxes, but light blue with a different interior.

Based on research, this would appear to be a Lady Bulova "A".

Ad showing box is dated 1954, and also shows the "BW" variant that appears to be the same watch but minus center sweep second hand complication. Line Book entry showing watch is from 1958-1959 BAWDO136.

Yes, both hour and minute hands are in place. It just happened to be 2:10 when I took the photos.....

It looks like the BW has curved lugs. I am good with 1958 Lady Bulova "A" .
