Bezel looks narrower in the ad too.
The subject looks like a pop out case type, like the Jet Clipper "A".
Any pics of the back and inside?
And possibly movement, case SN, any other info?

So the Ambassador "K" does not show up in the price lists untill Fall 1958.  Not listed in any of the 1955 lists, which go up to variant letter "H".
The new model section of the fall 1958 lists shows the "K" having a yellow gold case color.

Further down in this same list, we see several variants of "Ambassador".

Look at those long hands in the ad, and the short hands on the subject.
That's three differences so far, and we have no info but for one frontal pic and the statement "17 jewels".
Not your watch, right?
So we better not hold our breath for more info and pics.

Doesn't matter if he's a panel member or not.  The panel just gets to use the various comments/input to help them consider points in their voting.  At least someone is saying something :)

yea the bezel width difference is iffy IMO, and I'm not sure the length of the minute hand in the ad would suggest any other model name (or variant of Ambassador for that matter).  The minute track is the big difference I'm seeing, and not sure it scares me off from an Ambassador ID.

I have a feeling the watch isn't around any more, so any new pictures or info may not be possible.  It's an older record.

Remove it.
BTW, fifthavenue states it is in a waterproof case, advert does not.
Make that four differences from the ad.
Epic fail.

Sorry but I tend to agree with Bob. Too many discrepencies to make a solid ID.
