This was a 'Bay purchase and represented as a Senator. I didn't recognize the case and could find no examples here of this configuration or face design. I suspect it may be an undocumented Senator.
Case is rolled gold with a stainless back. Both case and movement marked L6. Watch is very clean and appears to me to be all original with the exception of the band, which is a Speidel and possibly a 1960's era replacement. This is my first post and I await the panel's opinions on this one.
I think I found it 06/15/19. Ad dated 1957 1956 Bulova Pearson
Hello neetstuf, welcome to myBulova. This is nice looking watch, I like it. Sometime identifying these old Bulovas is really easy, other times it's really tricky. At first glance this model appears to be the Senator shown above. We have five or six examples of this watch in our Unknown data base, and we've never come up with anything to ID it against. Interestingly enough that the band is similar to the one shown on the Senator in the advert above, it may well be original as Bulova did use Speidel. Hopefully this is the beginning of another Bulova collection, I look forward to seeing more.
1956 Unknown, thanks for sharing it.

Thank you Geoff,
and all other panel members who have sounded off on this one. I'm usually pretty good with ID's but this one escaped me. Still don't have a positive ID, but at least now I am secure it's a legit Bulova. My collection started a looong time ago and continues to grow. Love the Bulovas and glad to finally have somewhere to go and interact with others with the same OCD....I mean passion. Will post more goodies as time permits.
So many watches - so little time (and so few wrists).
As I revisit my unknown listings, I see a newbie error that should be pointed out. For what it's worth, this was my first watch download to the site and I left out a likely important bit of info. When I said this was represented to me as a Senator, The representation was it is in a Senator clamshell and also outer box.
Finally got around to pulling this one back out and photographing it in the Senator box as received. Also note the band has been replaced with a more pleasing period scissor since it was initially posted. Band as received was a Twistoflex, which hadn't been commercially released yet in 1956
