Watch Description

Just purchased. Photo's are via the website of the seller, as their camera has better focus than mine.  Bulova Chronograph. 2 register, similar to versions from the 30's and 40's.  On the movement:  "17JEWELS UNSADUSTED"  "Bulova Watch Co. Swiss"   I've included the best shot of the movement symbol I can find. Valjoux movement? Or possibly Omega?  Inside case back:  "BULOVA WATCH Co  SWISS  196022"  Rectangular pushers, case back is bare. Has the larger sub registers found on these style chronographs, rather than the smaller. Not sure about the second hand.

Very nice old Bulova, I like this model a lot. What do mean that you're unsure of the second hand?

We designate these beauties as 'Chronograph'.  I don't believe we ever found a further classification.

PS - Highly recommend service if you plan to wear it regularly.

If you are referring to the shape of the sub second hand, it was common for them to be different from each other.

Yeah I'm good with a Chronograph ID as well.  Very nice.

Does anyone know what the original face color was?

Updated to a 1956 Bulova Aircraft based on the strap.

That does look like a Fils as the chrono hand. I don't believe that this watch arrived with any type of strap of bracelet when I purchased it, the strap in th epics is my own addition. So if I find an expansion band we can redesignate it as a Sportsman?

Correct. Bulova did this a bit, were the model ID varied based on the strap/bracelet mount.
