I just inherited this watch from a family member and was trying to find out more information about it.  I'm exactly sure of the year so based on the information on this site, I'm assuming it is from the 1940s.  Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome and thank you for sharing your heirloom with us. Based on the "L5" on case back and movement, the watch is a 1955.

Your watch appears to be a 

1955 Goddess Of Time "A"

like the one in the link I provided.
