Watch Description

i have not opened the back of this watch, or do i want to, or even know how to without damaging it.  its original, and never been opened. and its a wind up watch that still works. i got it from my deceased grandma who received it new as a gift, so thats why i know its never been opened or serviced. she only wore it to church and very few other special occasions. the watch looks next to new, the only flaw is the glass/cyrstal is a little bit loose. it has a slight rattle which i know is the glass. has the original case which shows its 58 years of wear. it says bulova L4 on the back with the serial number. also says bulova on the winder. and im sure its stainless steal, no tarnish and no gold or silver markings are visible. any other info besides the year is a plus. looking to sell it soon. THANKS much!!

Certainly a nice piece with sentimental value.

The Case bezel has unique characteristics which should make the Watch readily identifiable by ad, unfortunately I've searched the database 1950 thru 1958 and do not see a match at this time.

Yeah I've looked all over online randomly the past year and can't find no watch that looks like this. I hope somebody out there knows something.

Me too. Looked from 1936-1967 and only thing near is 1950's Goddess of Time, very similar case but had two diamonds. Possibly is one as this model had multiple variants, A to X, AA and more.

Please let us know if you get the back off for the movement info and anything else you find. Thanks
I noticed you entered square shield for date symbol.  Was that a guess based on other info?

I thought square shield was the face of the watch. I'm new 2 this. Sorry. I don't want 2 take the back off but I might have 2.
