Watch Description

I have a Bulova watch I wear every day and was made in 1954 (L4) on back. It is a mystery dial type, 14k case, not rolled gold, 30 jewel, self winding with six (6) diamonds on the face. The enclosed pictures are of it. I cannot find anything on this baby and would love to know the actual name "model-style of it. Please help me on this if you can. It is just a great old watch. Thank you so much,
Tom

I don't think we have ID'd this one yet other than the popular generic name of "Mystery Dial"

It was produced in 23 and 30 jewel models and solid & filled cases.

Its one to keep, there are not that many out there and your looks to be in nice shape.

Didn't we decide to ID these a Bulova 23 "Mystery Dial" as we have yet to see an advert listing as a general Mystery Dial model. This also looks tho have some Beau Brummell features to it.

I thought we had some that were 30J with the "Mystery dial" posted at one time? I can't find them with search...

Tom, is "23 Jewels" printed on the dial?

It does have 30 jewels printed on the face.

Poor baby is in the shop getting a new main spring but will be back soon. I have posted all the info in peices but that is all I have. Since it is in the shop is there anyting else I should have the jeweler look for that can help identify this baby? I know the jewler really loved seeing it. I really appreciate all the people involved in my name search.

Fantastic watch Tom.  Three ticks for Mystery Dial.

I'm torn on this one. I like "Mystery Dial" but am not sure I can commit to it sans an advert. Bulova 30 is more of a 60's name isn't it?

Ok so it looks like the information in this watch is incomplete as the movement is indicated as a 10AN which would be incorrect. I gather the case has not been opened.
Tom any chance you can have a look inside and update your listing.
