Case, dial & hands differ from Royal Clipper ads.

According to the on-site ads Royal Clipper maintained the configuration shown in the above ad from 1954 to 1959. A 1960 ad shows a Royal Clipper without the x-dial. The subject watch shows a date of 1953 but doesn't appear in any on-site ads. Quite possibly an earlier Clipper of sorts, but no ads to prove it.

Your link above goes to a Clipper vs Royal Clipper (title should be corrected) according to on-site ads.

Search db dropdown list needs to add a Yankee Clipper.

Any one figure out what this case is? I saw anther one on eBay with date code L2 1952 same case same dial and hands, could it be a frankenbully ? Any one find any ads for it? I was thinking of jumping on it.  Thanks.

I still don't know this watch.  I've had 3 of them... still have one.
