1953 Marlboro on early 1960's replacement band added by me. Case back and movement marked "L3". Signed on case, face, movement and crown.
Some minor case high point wear and blemishes on face. Purchased as a non-runner. When it arrived it was wound tight and time read 6:30. The second hand was slightly bent and the hour hand was hung on it. I tweaked the hand and it immediately started running and has now been keeping accurate time for almost 24 hrs.
Great 10/23/53 dated inscription on back. I hope Eddie appreciated this.

Thanks Kathy. My guess would be poor handling with the movement outside the case. It doesn't take much to bend one of the teeny sub dial second hands so that it will catch the lower (closer to face ) hour hand when they pass one over the other going in opposite directions.
I always cringe when I see auction photos of a watch with movement out of the case and lying face down on a piece of cloth like a towel with looped thread surfaces.
