Dial and movement fit case very well.....but I think I hear wedding bells :) Can't find an ad match in main ad database or 1950's decade forum thread.

Looks like most of us were tentative n the ID. I'd agree that this is a tentative Ambassador as well.

Shawn, I think we see all Ambassador ads from early 1940's up to 1952 with 21 jewels, then changing to 17 jewels in 1953.

I'm looking for an ad from 1953 showing a 21 Jewel Ambassador. I have not found one yet. 1958 ad below (used for relative reference in another 1953 17 jewel Ambassador record)
and Lisa's (Watchophilia) Ambassador ads and examples change from 21 jewel through 1952 to 17 jewels beginning in 1953.
Wow that was a quick ID :) Only three folks voted on this one. While we did ID another one a few weeks ago, that example didn't have the jewel count listed, so I voted tentative Ambassador on that one assuming it had a 17 jewel movement.
I'm good for two ticks as 1953 Ambassador, although we don't have a matching ad, and I'm not seeing a single ad for a 21 jewel Ambassador after 1952.
I still think that maybe this 1953 watch with 21 jewels could be something other than an Ambassador, since we are iding tentatively on similarities to case style and a jewel count that doesn't match any ads from 1953 onward.
