Watch Description

This was my latest find at the flea Market..Was given to me not working..and wouldnt  you know it..she started running today..Get to sport her around.  Really cant make out the seriel..scarred from being so close to where you pry case open. Does any one know the Name of this one.

L2 Unadjusted is stamped on the movement also..I guess this would be the movement date...

Doug, L2 stamped movement is 1952, the L2 on the caseback is suspect at least to me, as I stated earlier it just doesn't look right. 7 jewels is not uncommon. My suggestion at this point would be to stick it in the proverbial sock drawer until more 50's ads come to light. There is light at the end of the tunnel.

Just found the same watch on ebay..and that L1  on his looks just like mine...a 7 with a underscore..and he has his down as a 1961..Guess, he doesnt know what he has...Have a great day.

The above is a ruxrton, not the subject watch in my opinion, and this ad states 17j

I agree it isn't a 'RUXTON'

The 'MAXIM' ad however does closely resemble the Watch in all aspects, except for the engraved bezel.

No, funny enough it's the only one that they didn't advertise the Jewel count...sneaky!
