Found this on the auction site advertised as a 1952 President. Case back and movement both marked L2 so that seems like a sure thing. The case shape and detail certainly appear to match the examples of L2 Presidents already on the site. However, the three diamond dial...I've looked the database up and down and all the ads +- a few years from 1952, nothing. The dial is reminiscent of a President, divided into four quardrants. But, no Arabics and....diamonds. So I think 1952 is correct. It's certainly a President case. But the dial is vexing and I'd appreciate any help in an ID. Thanks!

I'm going to have to go with the store. I poked around on Newpapers.com like Kathy did for about 30 minutes, nothing at all except the three ads she mentioned from the Texas area (I don't subscribe...yet...so I couldn't see the full ads).
So if this is the case, what are the chances that two of them from the same 1952 jewelry store chain in Texas show up on eBay 67 years later at almost the same time?
That seems freaky to me.
Now, from the ad Kathy posted, can anyone identify that bracelet? Not that I don't like it on this brown saddle leather strap, becuase I do, BUT I'm never averse to a search for the advertised/factory bracelet. I wonder if I could find a presentation box from Lewis' Jewelers, LOL!

Band appears to be the same as same period President "C" as seen on this watch and attached "C" ads.

I'd say the dial is part of Bulova's optional extras as we do see this style of diamond setting on other models from time to time.
Wheather or not Lewis had an agreement with Bulova to the rights to sell this variant is unknown, but possible.
1952 Bulova President.
