movement marked L1 but case marked L2????? Is this something bulova did with extra movements at the end of the year or what. also what model do i have here. thanks

Case looks like mine Brigadier , dial is most likely custom

I agree with your assesment  of it being a brigadier. I also noticed your case and movement, like mine, are a year apart. thanks again

I agree Jabs. 1952 Brigadier with jeweler customized dial works for me.

Not uncommon to have a year separating the case and the movement, after all the difference could be just a day or two on the production schedule.
