I think you ID'd it correctly .  Looks to be a 1951 Bulova Watertite "D" noting the misspelling in the ad.   Watertight was used in the 40's but from mid 40's onward the spelling was always TITE.

I didn’t notice the “D” variation. I got the ad from the other ‘51 Watertite and it is designated as a Witertite “D”. Is there and info on the ‘51 Watertite without the variant designation?

I meant to say the other '51 Watertite ISN'T listed as a Watertite "D". Perhaps it should be,

I really like the patina on the dial, proper vintage.

Over the last 8 month, I have learned a lot about how Bulova described the watches in the ads and exactly what the descriptions mean as well as how to tell the difference between SS and chrome. As a result, I have come to the conclusion that this cannot be the “D” variant. The “D” had a SS case. I’ve uploaded a close up picture of the case and you can see the chrome plating come off. A SS case would never look like this. Even if there was pitting, it would still look silver. Here, you can clearly see the base metal. The variant with this dial and a chrome case is the “M”.
