Watch Description

Yellow metal case with SS back.  Inside back marked, "Bulova","10k rolled gold plate bezel","Stainless Back", "New York". Back marked with "Bulova" and "L1" beneath.  Also has the serial Number. So as with others on this site I have a 1951 case with a 1953 movement.  Radium dial and hands. Appears to be a "Duo Wind"..... It is in great shape and was serviced 2 years ago.  Runs quite well. I took off the crappy replacement expansion band that was on it.  Will be getting a nice leather replacement.

Have updated the entry to 1951 based on the case date and not the movement.

Nice early Bulova automatic/selfwinding 'Duo Wind' model. Leaving out variant as the watch is not presented on a band.

I had it serviced but not relumed.  If it was relumed, happened before me........

Based on the ad I believe the variant is listed and should be added.

1958 Bulova Duo WInd "L"

The "L" matching the advert which shows an expansion band.

The "K" was mounted on Leather

I'd say we leave the variant out without a mount being present with the subject watch.
