New 'UNKNOWN' configured identically to the 'ACADEMY AWARD' "O" variant of era, http://www.mybulova.com/watches/1952-academy-award-5176 sans the Case bezel and Dial.

I believe this Watch will eventually be identified as a part of the Series.

enjoy,

1951 'UNKNOWN'

Has a couple noteable  AA characteristics, 21J 10BM, 2 tone dial. it wouldn't suprise me at all to be another AA variant.

Agreed.

The Year of Manufacture is bang on, the Case composition and markings are identical also.

The open subsiduary register is most compelling, the 'EXCELLENCY' of era registers seem to be enclosed, having a defined border.

Time will tell.

Unknown, but I'm inclined to think it's a heretofore unidentified AA variant, as mentioned.
