Watch Description

Found this watch at a yard sale. The watch face did not have the Bulova logotype but the case had an L1 which led me to believe it was a Bulova. After opening the watch, the movement confirmed it was an L1 Bulova. I have not been able to find anything from 1951 in uploaded watches and adverts which could help me identify this watch.

Darn it, all my images get rotated a bit. Can someone help with rotating the images 90 degrees clockwise? (No pun intended) :-)

I looked and wasn't able to find a match, a couple really close but not exact.

Unknown for now

I can't be 100% certain, but for now I'm going to nominate the Bulova Adorable.

I considered Adorable as well, but agree the lugs are different. I can't come up with a match going through linebooks all the way up to 1960.

I was thinking the same, but I wonder if it's just the photo and how the lugs aren't showing that well. I had a good look as well and it the only model that comes close.

I think the model IS 1951 Bulova Adorable, the extensions that connect the bracelet to the lugs seem to be missing on the subject watch but it's possible they had to be removed to place the cord strap on it

Vejdav, any chance you can post a photo of the lug area side on where the cord/band connects to the watch?

Just posted. I took a closer look at the side lugs and it appears some work may have been done to the watch. The rings where the band slides through are a bit uneven on both sides and there are some gaps and uneveness where the rings connect to the lugs

Thanks for posting the pic of the lugs.  If they were modified then I will go with Adorable, everything else seems to match.
