Bsed on the box and the closest advert I can find that matches the watch, I'd agree with American Girl "Tentative"

I thought one of the defining characteristics of "American Girl" was the bangle/solid bracelet?
There's too many 21 jewel ladies w/ similar characteristics for me to pick the closest one.
No match that I see.
Unknown

EDIT:  Bangle/solid bracelet defining for this time period.  Seen a couple American Girls from the 30's have regular bracelets.

I don't think it's an AG variant, I also was under the impression  that the model was on a solid bracelet.

Unknown for me.

Not an American Girl for sure. I've had way too many to agree with that. All the American Girl adverts and watches I've had all are a bangle bracelet style watch. Unknown 4 me.

Looks similar to the Academy Award "N" in this 1952 ad.
