Watch Description

This is what I believe is an Academy Award "EE", like this one https://www.mybulova.com/watches/1951-academy-award-10984  Although we left it as a generic AA due to lack of an ad, same as the "DD" like this one https://www.mybulova.com/watches/1951-academy-award-10823 but in white.

I picked this one up because it is much nicer condition than my first one and running well, it even came with a correct band.  L1 on both the movement and case.

Price does show "EE" variant, so highly suspect this will be the correct variant lettering.

1953 Bulova Academy Award price guide snippet.

The model reference number also highly suggests that the DD and EE and grouped (6117, 6119).

I'd be good with 1951 Bulova Academy Award "EE".

Nice upgrade Kathy. I've always been a stickler on assigning variants on price lists and crystal packets so I'm not 100% on board with the EE variant could probably be convinced. If we go that way we need to update the twin as well
