I've acquired another one of those unknown models like the other one I have. This one is a 1950 just like the other one. I haven't done anything to it yet except get it running. Someone had broken the head off the ratchet wheel screw and apparently thought super glue would be a good way to hold the ratchet wheel in position. Then for some reason they super glued the crown wheel too. Maybe they thought if it didn't turn the ratchet wheel would stay put. Who knows. I think it will look even better than the other one after I have some more time to devote to it.
Update: I finally got around to ordering some Thornton crystals and just tried one in this watch and it fits like a glove.
It's also identical to the crystal I originally removed from the watch. I'm about 70% sure we've found the Thornton. This crystal fits the case flawlessly. Panel ????
