Watch Description

The movement is a 17 jewel  8AC dated 1950 (L0).  The case is marked "Bulova New York" and has a 10K rolled yellow gold plate bezel with a stainless back.  The stem is signed. It's kind of a cool looking watch and its reasonably clean.  Runs like a champ.  It appears to me to match an unknown already in the database with the same movement and jewel count. http://mybulova.com/watches/1950-unknown-10093

Case is similar to a couple models, but not a match to any I have ever been able to find. I have one as well, sporting the same crystal.

Unknown for me too.  Can't find an engraved match.

Is this essentially an engraved Douglas?  I think we've seen it before... but I can't remember.. hrmm... we have seen an ad for an engraved case like this but I thought the lug cover was also engraved.

There are current unknown examples  in the database here, and here -  discussing Douglas (no engraving),  Aeronaut (engraved lug covers) similarities and differences.
