ASHFORD like the current one in the database, but this one is SOLID 14K Gold. It also has a "railroad track" minute indicator and the seconds dial is a different design. May want to list as a varient??

So why not an Ashford? Is this based on the jewel count?

The case and dial are a pretty good match.

Tentative Ashford for me.

Hmm there is also the Jordon, but again has a 17J movement.

Lug knots are flat as opposed to "barrel" shaped in the ads,  lug ends are curved as opposed to straight in ads, solid gold not plated, 21 jewels not 17, minutes track different.

Below is the 1950 Ashford, with three-dimensional straight lugs.

Here is the 1953 Jordan, same as above but re-named in 1953.

Here is the subject, flat knots, curved lug arms, "train track" minutes track, I can't remember the name for those... EDIT:- I remember now, that kind of track is called the Chemin de Fer!

...check out the open "9" on the subject dial too....

Ken  Is there an L0 date code on the movement?  I'm guessing that's how you determined the date?
