I picked this up from an older gentleman who told me his father had a jewelry store in the late 1940's early 1950's. This 1950 Bulova His Excellency WW is one of his Dad's watches that didn't sell before he closed shop in the early 1950's. This watch sat in his Dad's safe until he passed and he inherited everyone. Recently the son was selling these pieces. I also picked up a NOS 1950 Minute Man I have in the database from him. It really doesn't get better than this as a collector. Intact with hang tag and Bulova stamped leather strap.
Looking at the movement screw lines, you can tell this things has hardly been touched. That crown looks nice and sharp as well.
What is interesting to note is that this has the orginal hangtag and yet it has a different dial stye for the other examples we have in the database.
Does that make the others a slight variation on the variation :-)
