Watch Description

I guessed at the year based on movement model. Wondering about this case, did Bulova produce salesmans display watches, or is this possibly a marriage? Case diameter about 33mm, case back appears to be base metal or similar composition, with acrylic crystal. Movement has small 48 marking on winding rotor, and either BXW or 8XW on balance bridge. Only markings I can find.

Looks like a Jordan maybe or could be and Ashford.

Small 48 on winding rotor suggests 1948 movement.

Are there any markings on the case back, inside or out, that could give a clue to the date, like a letter followed by a number?

Looks like Duo Wind to me. What year do we give subject watch?  Clear/modified case back so no help there.  The only thing w/ a date is the movement- 1948  Plains ad above is 1950.

Oldest ad for the Duo-wind I have seen is 1950.

I can go Duo Wind only if the case is dated. If the case isn't dated it appears to be a 1948 Unknown
