Nice Watch, and welcome to mybulova.

"A9" on the back is the date code for 1949. Any pictures of the movement? It should be a 21J and be date stamped like the case back.

Good call Jabs, 1949 President gets my non-counting vote based on A9  case back.

Thank you, that's what I was thinking but Icouldn't find any identical to mine all had some differencs. It was my poppops !

Yours likely originally came on a leather band that was replaced a long time ago. The watch is; after all,  70 years old.

Thank you everyone! Yeah right now it has a matching gold band that has another band of silver under it. The band stretches and I've never seen a band like it on any modern watch lol
