Watch Description

Hi all I would apriciate any members comments about this watch. I think it is "His Excellency " model but not sure after looking at the various adverts i cant make my mind up. It is 10 K gold filled case  and bezel. The crown is marked Bulova and the inside of the case is marked Bulova fifth Ave. New York, and the outside is marked with the serial number 9628769 and 10K gold filled   When it came the case and bezel were very tarnished and the dial was dirty. I spent an hour cleaning both and it has come up looking like a new watch. I timed it over 24hrs and it lost only 2/3 mins. this one is going straight up for sale again.

Thanks to everyone out there regards donegd

You've got this baby cleaned up beautifully Donegd. I believe you have the 1949 "His Excellency GG", but I'm no expert. I love that leather band. Here in the States a leather band for these vintage Bulovas that's long enough to fit a man cost more than a new pair of shoes.

Hi Mercury

Yes the leather band is very good if you ever need one l could probably get one for you it cost 10 euros.  I also thought the watch to be a HE. G G   but there are so many variants of this model
