Very nice. The only thing is the dial is different. The hands are too but they can easily be changed.

2 ticks.

I'm Ok with the hands, Bulova was using the Alpha style hands on other watches during the late 40's. I also think the original may have been bi-faceted but still it's pretty obvious.

3 Ticks on the Andrew from me.

I'd questioned the Dial also..

The Dial style appears in ads beginning in 1948 +/-, the display ad  for the 'ANDREW' dates to '47 so it's possible the Dial/Hand combo came in the Watch. Judging by its condition I'll dare to say that it did.

Just to be clear, I don't let hands effect my ratings.

no worries Darren, vote Your conscience. I'm just glad to get one in the database.

There's the J9 stamped Movement Greg had mentioned a Week or so ago and the Crystal listed fit like a glove if You need it for Your records.

Mark can you give me the crystal dimensions please. I have checked my WC catalogs and can't find anything and have gone to the BB and GS and Rocket catalogs as well as the cross over for SUC but I need the dimensions to come up with the answer. I have a new GS cross over catalog listing all of the crystals they have ever made comming but it is not here yet.

Found it. 21.5 X 18.9.  For my money it is a definite Andrew, 3 ticks.

Very nice watch Mark. WC lists it as a very popular crystal.
