Watch Description

hi all this another one i have just purchased. I think it is a 1948 Navigator. It works but will need a bit of TNC . there is a little rust on the movement by the jewel mark. and the dial is very dirty and i can't seem to make it any better even though i have tried to clean it, also the crystal needs replacing as its very scratched, but overall I think it will be well worth the effort having it restored. the inside of the case is marked Bulova. 10k Rolled Gold Plate Bezel St/St back. New York. the movement is marked 47, but the case serial number is 8240472. The watch came with a leather strap which fell apart as I was removing it.

I agree that it's a Navigator. Odd that we don't have an ad ( that I could find) post 1945. The '45 advert does refer to a "B" variant but doesn't indicate what the difference would be to any other variants.

Very nice watch. I have a nice glass crystal that will fit , if you are interested.

Nice one George. The dial doesn't look that bad. A new crystal is all this one needs.
