Thank you in advance for undertaking this review

It was my intention to send this on Tuesday, however I did not realise that by pressing the save button it would actually send the details.

That is the reason the Jpegs are dated 18th August 2020.

Kind regards,

14K solid gold case makes this a 1948 Bulova Duncan.

Originally cost $135 back in 1948, That's $1451 in today's money!!!

Thank you to all the Panel Members for their comments following the posting of my Bulova Duncan.

These are very much appreciated and a great welcome to the MyBulova fraternity.

My next step is to size and procure the Crystal and a Buva stamped crown. Any guidance and advice on how I go about this would be welcome,

Patrick JK O'Reilly (aka Legsrooney).

GS Flexo catalog #55 (part 2) on site lists Duncan crystal as

CMX326-35

I am pretty sure that as a 1948, it likely had an unmarked crown.

Thank you that is  that is very useful information re the Crystal Reference. Before I joined MyBulova I found a post from another member who had his watch (a Duncan) appraised by the panel, in which he quoted in detail the sizes of the Crystal. I will search again for the post via the forums. The discussion on his post centred around was whether he had a "His Excellency" or "Duncan " 1948 and the definitive answer was the latter.

When I got the watch it definately had Buluva Gold on the crown, however this may have been a Gold cap that was glued on to it.; that part I can't recall clearly.

Again, many thanks for taking the time to reply to me.   Legsrooney.

As far as finding a crystal, I would start by typing the crystal number into google and ebay and see what happens.
