I'm not exactly sure if this is a Patriot or a Conrad or neither!!! What i do know is the word Swiss is not on the bottom of the dial like the aforementioned in this post. Also on the inside of the back there are some numbers and/or letters scratched into it.Needless to say I'm stumped but at the same time learned a few things so i call that a win!!!! Anyway if anyone could help I'd appreciate so much.. Thank you  😊

Thanks for sharing your watch with us. The scratched markings in the case back are jeweler's marks. Each jeweler had his own code to identify when he worked on a watch, and sometimes a code for what he did. It is the swivel lugged rose gold filled

1948 Conrad Dated by the case s/n starting with an "8".

Very cool thank you!!! Also one thing is this watch specifically for a male or is it considered unisex?

This was a mens watch. During this time period, watches were small by today's standards.

14k gold filled is there a Conrad 14k gold filled? I ask because the ad says 10k and the one I have says 14k gold filled.

A nice example of a 1948 Bulova Conrad

A nice Conrad for your collection.  I just love anything in rose gold and the Conrad although a mens watch back when it was made, now it is a nice watch for either ladies or men.  Very distinct lugs on this model.

I was thinking the same thing! The watch would be a perfect graduation gift for my daughter! What band would you suggest?
