Jose and gang.  1947 movement in a 48 case?  Does first digit of case SN apply for dating during this possible two year period?

I agree. The top picture is a little far away to see the "wings" on the sides of the case as in the ad, but the case back has small extensions to accommodate them.

I'm not sure if its a redial.  I've seen several examples of this style of dial, and I believe there are now ads showing this style dial too.  I thought these were redials several months ago, but Shawn commented he'd seen many of them in this time period, and I think he posted or linked an ad or two showing as originally sold.

Maybe I should have said it "appears" to be a refinished dial. It doesn't match the ad, it is missing the "Swiss" on the front, in the movement pic it looks like it has "overspray" on the edges of the back, and it just "looks" like a refinish.
