Watch Description

This has a 10K white gold filled case. I found this in an old box of junkers. My dad was a watchmaker and this was an old cigar box of odds and ends that he kept. It does need cleaning up and serviced. It does have some rust but it does run a little. It also needs a crystal. I believe it is a "His Excellency".

Not the Ambassador as the adverts indicate they were rose gold and the dial is different.

At this stage I'd say a generic His Excellency, variant unknown.

Agree, not Ambassador. Really not a '47 ad showing this style in anything but solid yellow and pink. Guess I would be tempted by generic Excellency..........still not sure.

Ambassador, variant unknown, the faceted lugs plus the fact that there could be other variants other than Rose Gold/White dials that were produced, we just don't have an ad yet.

I'm still researching....

Here's a snippet of the ad Fifth links above (1946)

Thanks for all the input. I believe from the ads I have looked at, it is an Ambassador, variant unknown. When I get a chance to service it, I will post another picture of it.

Thanks again.
