Watch Description

This was a great restore that came out looking like the fantastic vintage piece it was meant to be after such a long time of neglect. I included one before picture to show the state outside to show what it was before and what it came to be. It now runs beautifully and looks great and other than the brand new band is completely original. Pieces like this are why I love doing this.

Here is more readable advert from 1942, I'm not entirely sure that this is a Practitioner, at least dial and hands are different, case seems identical

here is example Practitioner from 1940

The hands may have been swapped out at some point? Otherwise, I'd say this is very Practitioner looking.

yes all may be swapped :) hands, dial, movement ..

subject watch are strikingly similar to Unknown  from Lisa´s site

Closest match of components may be the Practitioner, with case and center second hand movement; though the earlier Practitioner shows lugs that sit higher than the lowest part of the bezel, which this case does not. The case is more similar to other models - Air Warden and Nighthawk for example, but they did not use a sweep second hand. Also, the dial/hands/movement look similar to those used in this 45 'Watertite'. We now have two similar examples from 1946, this one and Rosscoe888's; so the chance of a Practitioner with parts swapped is less likely. I am still at Unknown.

Aberlow,

I saw this watch from the site it was purchased from (at least Im pretty sure of it). I considered picking it up myself. Very nice job on the restoration! I will not disclose the site and I would hope you do not either! Shopping online is good, will you be restoring more? ;)

I've just posted a 1949 unknown that has a similar dial. Hmmm.....

Can I ask what the lug width is on this watch?

This appears to be a white dial version of the Medico.  There is no confirmation that this model came in white but it is an exact match to the 5 unknowns we just ID'd as a Medico with the three new ads we found including this one.  Everything is an exact match except the dial color.

1946 Bulova Medico (white dial version tentative)
