Watch Description

Hello everyone! Adding another Bulova to the database. I'm thinking it is a Lady Excellency A. It seems to be a match to the part advert. Looking to see what you all think! Thanks!

Yay! That is always exciting! So, while this post is still active I thought I'd ask a question. How do most of the Bulova collectors on here feel about watches that have personalized engravings on the back of the case?

I treasure them. Personalization makes a watch a piece of history and a snippet of someone's life, as opposed to just a "thing". I always research inscriptions and see if I can figure out who the person was.

Here is one of my favorites. The watch is rough, but the story is over the top!

Thanks Bob! Your watch has a great history, what a cool story! I feel like I have been staying away from watches with inscriptions, but I purchased one today. With a few of my first buys I asked the sellers if they knew any history of the watches and with my 1939 Lady Bulova I got a great history/family history of the original owner and it was super interesting!

I really like an engraved case.  It adds to the past and history of the watch which I love.

Kathy nailed it.  1936 Bulova Cleopatra looks to be dead on match.

Good call.

1936 Cleopatra looks like a good match.

Updating model ID to Adele which is a better match. The Cleopatra lacks the end side pieces on the lug which both the Adele and subject watch has.
