Wayne,

An aftermarket Case stamped with a Bulova hallmark inside the Caseback? Now there's an interesting concept! lol

A few of these have shown up now, all in identical Cases. Geoff Baker has what appears to be a 15 Jewel 10 AK 'ORD DEPT' Watch Movement and Dial in the same.

Joseph Bulova School Watches?

The Joseph Bulova School of Watchmaking was initially formed by Arde Bulova in 1945 to teach disabled WWII Vets the art of Watchmaking.

What's the LOL about an aftermarket case stamped Bulova. That's what it is. How about afterwar case. We know what it is but we don't have a name for it. Unknown = Zero Stars

The 'star rating' reference was a joke Wayne, of coarse as an 'UNKNOWN' it should not be rated.

16 jewel movement, thats a first to me..i don't think i ever saw one before...and a Bulova one at that...was there any reason for  16..i guess on the hacking mech is the 16th jewel..or am i wrong.. ..also thats is great info on the hack mech.. i didn't know watchmakers removed the hack setting other to fix it...one more reason for the higher prices on these watches..

Walter, I've got quite a few 16 jewel movements, mostly from 20's to early 30's.

The 16 Jewel 10 AKCSH Movement was WWII Military issue, ala A-11.
