Watch Description

This is believed to be a 1945 Goddess of Time "K".

It was purchased originally from Louis J. Shapiro Jewelers in Chicago on December 15th, 1945.  The price of the watch, not including tax, was $33.75.

I acquired it with the original outer box, display box (whose owner was right handed due to the slight wear spot on the velvet covered lid), guarantee paper, payment terms, and bill of sale.  Both the bill of sale and the guarantee have the case back serial no. that matches this watch.

There are the roman numerals VII III II on the inside of the case outer which match the last three digits of the case serial number F382732.

When received, it had a black rope band with a Bretton clasp of which I do not know was original, but had the same amount of tarnish as the outer case.

The dial is original and does not show any wear or corrosion

It has a 6AH movement which was cleaned, oiled, and had a new mainspring installed.  The movement has a triangle symbol stamped on the set bridge.

I was originally planning on replacing the rope material on the band it came with, but my wife preferred the square snake bracelet in place of it.

Nice looking watch Stan, I bet she'll be proud to wear this one.

Goddess of Time "K" works for me.
