Watch Description

Looks similar to 1945 Brigadier and 1945 Douglas, but not the same dial and slight difference in the case. The watch band pin holes do not extend through the case to be visible on the outside (like the Brigadier). Movement is seventeen  17  jewels  ,  unadjusted  , swiss  ,  with a mark  MX(?). the MX (?) looks like the MX is followed by a small square with some marking inside. I cannot make out the mark inside the square.

Not sure about the date, but I think I am close.

Thanks  Ken S

Comparitive style for case date I think?  Not on case SN.
Unknown- similar to the one Geoff links above.

I put the loop on it and this is definetely a CIRCLE. It is a rather light impression, but I can tell it is stamped.

Nope... I don't have one JP... Unknown from me.

I'll say there are several of those solid gold ones we just don't have any info on.  It's weird really... like they didn't advertise those high end ones as much or something.

I believe we have enough votes for Unknown? I think I counted 6

I was talking with Lisa over at Watchophila.com and she suggests it is a 1941 ENVOY. Please take a look at MB Ads 1941 #26. Looks exactly like this watch to consider giving a name to this UNKOWN.

Thanks  Ken S

Good job w/ that ad for subject watch.  Lets see what folks think.   A 1941 ad, a 1944 movement, and a case of the same period....

Ken, is the ad your referencing (#26) used for the snippet you use above?  The "Spanish ad"?
