Fred

Your watch is a 1944 Bulova Gedney, that will be a fine addition to our database. The circle symbol makes it a 1944. During WWII nickel was a strategic material required for the war effort, so the watch makers used sterling silver as the base metal. I happen to like the look of sterling and was wondering how sterling would look after removing the gold plate/fill.

Thanks for showing it Fred and please add it to our database.

Finally got the hairspring straightened out this morning, it now runs and keeps very good time.  Will be better in a week or two when I get a new mainspring in it, as the old one is a blue steel one, and rather set.

Thanks for the ID - it's quite a nice watch.
