Watch Description

I'm assuming I have a "Cadet" here.Lots of interesting info on this model.Wonder if the value is what it was 3yrs.ago.All appears to be original other than band and crown. If you know who might have a Bulova crown please advise.

Is therea date code on the movement, as I recall the date is an important factor for the design as it went by a few names over the course of about a decade.

I'm good with Cadet. Not sure of a variant.

Here is a previous thread that compared the Cadet, Ranger and  the Bruce models. Subject watch looks to be the Cadet 'D'

All adverts that I have found for Cadet have black numerals and hands.

While we have the same watch in database with ID Cadet "D" but it's okay?

Your ad did not convince me, while also talking about black numerals and hands :)

But we have the same watch twice already in the database as Cadet "D"!

The Cadet/Ranger/Bruce/Cambridge discussions are informative and confusing at times- at lest confusing to me.  I do see Ken has similar watch listed as 1945 Cadet "D" here.  Mr. Hanley lays out some various ad/model progressions in other related threads.
I also see what looks like a circle btwn ratchet wheels, but there's also something above the unadjusted script.
I'm good with Cadet ID.  The year and variant are a little more tricky, but "D" variant would work for me too.
